The process is simple and quick, as can be seen by "unlucky" António who, out of the blue, saw his car refuse to start.

Antonio's bad luck

After a refreshing shower and a hearty breakfast, António is ready for another day's work in his mini-market.

Everything was going well until he got into his car, turned the key and...nothing! The car won't start.

Once the tow truck has been called, the next time we meet António, he's standing outside the car repair shop where he dropped off his car, doing the maths and wondering how he's going to pay the hefty bill that his car repair has resulted in. 

Fortunately for this unlucky chap, the mechanic has Instalment plan with UNICREThis means that he can pay the workshop in two to six interest-free monthly instalments.

For this to happen, the mechanic and Antonio just have to follow these five steps:

Step 1: the mechanic enters the amount to be paid by António in the Parcela Já com UNICRE application and asks him to select the instalment option he wants (between 2 and 6 monthly instalments) at the POS;

Step 2: the mechanic asks António to select the option "Insert ID card" on the REDUNIQ Smart terminal;

Step 3: Antonio swipes his credit/debit card through the magnetic stripe reader and enters his mobile phone number;

Step 4: after receiving the code by SMS, Antonio must enter the code into the terminal.

Step 5: Once the operation has been approved, the purchase is finalised.

Please note that the first instalment will be charged at the time of purchase (minimum instalment of 20 euros without interest) and only debit or credit cards can pay for purchases in instalments.

Note: if the operation is approved, the business must keep the receipt signed by the customer.

By choosing to pay for the repair of his car in instalments, António avoided a major dent in his budget, while the bodyshop gained points in its relationship with the customer.
