Google Pay has arrived in Portugal. The news was long overdue, but its use will not be widespread. The introduction of the Google Pay payment service will be just one more feature that customers of personal finance applications will have at their disposal.
In practical terms, this means that although the Google Pay app is not available in Portugal, customers of these participating banks will be able to use Google Pay for their online purchases and in any physical shops where Google Pay is available. contactless payments with Visa and Mastercard are accepted.
